This volume is dealing with climate adaptation and resilience that involves the changing city’s capacity to respond and recover from shocks and stresses including natural disasters, social challenges, economic threats. Particularly, in contemporary cities, the focus is on incorporating natural elements through planning policy and under the Green Infrastructure (GI) conception to maximize social, environmental, and economic benefits. The book is divided into two sections: Part One outlines the methodology and design approaches used to identify key strategies and policy recommendations that inform contemporary design practices and support the broader applicability of urban initiatives. Part Two presents additional conceptual insights drawn from the three awarded papers featured in the Changing Cities VI International Conference.
